Memorial Service for Vicki Cruse Announced

A memorial event to celebrate the life of Vicki Cruse will be held Saturday, September 12, 2009 at her hangar at Santa Paula Airport, in California. Vicki Curse died from an aerobatic accident when her Zivko Edge 540 nosedived at an altitude she couldn't bail out from. The celebration is scheduled to begin at 11:30 A.M. Those who are planning in attending you must RSVP (rsvpcpaviation@yahoo.com) and must tell whether you are arriving by plane or car. Lunch will be served. Adam Badger send his deepest condolences to the Cruse Family.

Plane lands on Interstate 495 in Mansfield Massachusetts

The pilot of a Piper Cherokee who made an emergency landing on southbound Interstate 495 near Mansfield, Massachusetts, Tuesday, September 1, 2009 had been practicing stalls and couldn't get the plane's engine to restart. The Piper Cherokee's nose gear wheels feel off and gasoline spilled all over the highway. The pilot of the Piper Cherokee, Matthew Kleindienst, 24, and the passenger Brian K. Souza, 21, landed at 10:57 A.M. on Interstate 495. There were two people in the plan and the Massachusetts State Police said there were no reports of injures. But the traffic was backed up for miles.

Garmin's newest product is the GAD 43. GAD 43 is a new adapter that offers enhanced autopilot capabilities for the G500 and G600 flight display systems, allowing an attitude and heading reference system to provide information to selected autopilots in place of an attitude direction indicator or remote vertical gyro. "It thinks like an autopilot." You can purchase the GAD 43 for $1,495 now and until December 31, 2009. The Gad 43 is an option for the G500 and it is available at an initial list price of $2,995.

2010 FAR/AIM available

Amelia Earhart Exhibit Opens Oct. 24 at The Museum of Flight

The Museum of Flight in Seattle, Washington has set together a new exhibit about the life and times famous American pilot, Amelia Earhart and it'll be opening Saturday, August 24, 2009 entitled "In Search of Amelia Earhart." The exhibit will feature her original personal artifacts, as well as photos, newspapers, and newsreel footage. The exhibit will run until May, 2010.

Bombardier Cancels $1.5 Billion Learjet Order

Bombardier has official canceled a $1.5 billon order for 110 Learjet 60 XR aircraft from European fractional and on-demand charter operator Jet Republic.
