EAA's Vintage Aircraft Association (VAA) and the FAA has announced a new program to authorize Designated Engineering Representatives (DER) for vintage aircraft. Under the new program Vintage Designated Engineering Representatives (VDER), the FAA will designate people who will cover vintage aircraft.

People who want to apply for VDER certification email vintage@eaa.org before submitting an application to the appropriate aircraft certification office.
