Breaking News: Chesley Sullenberger III Officially Retires from US Ariways
The famous pilot Chesley "Sully" Sullenberger III officially retires from U.S. Airways on March 3, 2010 after 30 years with them. Chesley is famous for piloting US Airways Flight 1549, which he successfully ditched in the Hudson River on January 15, 2009. "Though I am retiring, I will continue to serve as the same kind of advocate I have always been --- not only for aviation safety, but for the airlone piloting profession. I will work to remind the entire industry --- and those who manage and regulate it ---- that we have a sacred duty to our passengers to do the very best that we know how to do."said Chelsey Sullenberger.
