On September 23, 2009 air traffic controllers worldwide has battled three years over a new contract.The contract which will cover National Air Traffic Controllers Assocition's air traffic controller, traffic management and NOTAM specialist bargaining units, is scheduled to take effect on October 1, 2009. The NATCA members voted on the new work rules that they and FAA agreed to.
Both parties plan to sign the three-year agreement on September 25, 2009.
