EAA AirVenture 09: Virgin Galatic WhiteKnightTwo Mothership "Eve"

If you visited EAA AirVenture Oshkosh 2009 you probably saw Virgin Galatic WhiteKnightTwo Mothership "Eve" arrive at Wittman Regional Airport on Monday, July 27, 2009. " WhiteKnightTwo finally arrived and did a fly-by around 2:38 P.M.
This is the first public appearance for WhiteKnightTwo Virgin Mothership "Eve" at EAA AirVenture. If you missed Monday's flight demo then you could of seen WhiteKnightTwo Virgin Mothership "Eve" demo at 2:15 P.M. on Tuesday, July 28, 2009 or Thursday, July 30, 2009 at 2:30 P.M. or on Saturday, August 1, 2009 at 10:00 A.M. when WhiteKnightTwo Virgin Mothership "Eve" departs and heads back home to Mojave.
Sir Richard Branson and Burt Rutan were their. WhiteKnightTwo Virgin Mothership "Eve" is named after Sir Richard Branson's mother. Virgin Galatic had several forums at EAA AirVenture Oshkosh 2009 giving updates on WhiteKnightTwo Virgin Mothership "Eve." WhiteKnightTwo Virgin Mothership "Eve" consists of a twin boom with two jet engines per hull. WhiteKnightTwo Virgin Mothership "Eve" uses two cruciform tails. The engines are hung underneath the wings.

EAA AirVenture 09: Daily Airshow

At EAA AirVenture they have a daily airshow between 3:30-6:00 P.M. daily Monday-Saturday. Sunday's time is like 1:30-5:00? On Friday they have the Warbirds spectacular where they have pyro on Friday and Saturday. (I won't get alot of airshow information out on this site but I will put who performed at EAA AirVenture 2009)

EAA AirVenture 09: Flightstar's New e-Spyder Ultralight

At EAA AirVenture Oshkosh 2009 this year Flightstar's e-Spyder made it's first visit to EAA AirVenture Oshkosh 2009. The e-Spyder has a 30-foot wingspan, gross weight 253 pounds, cruises at 50 mph, and stalls at 24 mph. The e-Spyder made its first flights July 17-19. The e-Spyder is still in production and is looking forward to be in the market soon.

EAA AirVenture 09: Garmin announces G500 & G3X

Garmin introduced new products at a press conference on Monday, July 27, 2009 at EAA AirVenture Oshkosh 2009 in Oshkosh, Wisconsin. Garmin introduced the new G500 and the new G3X.

At EAA AirVenture Oshkosh 2009 Tecnam Aircraft introduced its newest aircraft P2006T to the United States market on Monday, July 27, 2009 on AeroShell Square. The P2006T is a high-wing, four-seat, light twin engine airplane with retractable landing gear. Powered by Rotax 912S engines. The aircraft operates on auto fuel. It flew at 3:00 P.M.

Icon A5 amphibian light-sport aircraft made its Oshkosh on-flight debut on Monday, July 27, 2009 at EAA AirVenture 2009. Icon A5 is an amphibious aircraft. An amphibious aircraft is an aircraft that can take off and land either on land or water. The Icon A5 has a 100hp Rotax 912 ULS engine that can run on aviation grade or automotive grade gasoline. The Icon A5 are expected to start delivering by the third quarter of 2011.

EAA AirVenture 09: Ford begins 2nd Decade

If you were at EAA AirVenture Oshkosh this year you saw Ford Motor Company Tent located next to Aeroshell Square. This year it marked the 11th sponsoring EAA AirVenture. Ford Motor Company is a big sponsor for EAA AirVenture. Ford Motor Company sponsored the Doobies' Concert, Fly-in Theater.

Guests at the Ford Hangar can pick up a Ford 2009 AirVenture collector's hat. Also see and talk to Hank the talking robot, and ride the mechanical bull. Late at night you can visit EAA's Fly-In Theater where you can watch movies beginning at 8:30 P.M or simply ride in a classic Ford Model T on Thursday, July 30, 2009 or test-drive the 2011 Ford Fiesta.
