The iTowBots are a remote control aircraft tugs and are now available at Aircraft Spruce. The iTowBot loading sequence is as easy as driving the unit directly under the nosewheel of your aircraft. iTowbot is engineered so that when the aircraft loads, the weight of the loaded aircraft doesn't inhibit zero-turn capability. A foot-operated release allows the operator to unlock the swivel carriage and back out from beneath the nosewheel. The operator can drive the unit back into its spot into the hangar, with no tugging, pushing or rolling up extension cords required.

ACI-NA Awards Scholarships

The Commissioners Committee of the Airports Council International-North America (ACI-NA) has award scholarships of $2,500 each to three aviation students: Brett Fay, Middle Tennessee States University in Murfreesboro, Tennessee; Gregory Myers, Westminster College in Salt Lake City, Utah; and Robert Hanks, California State University in Los Angeles, California.

"The Commissioners Committee is proud to honor these students for their academic excellence and leadership," said David Jennings chair of ACI-NA's Commissioners Committee and chairman of the Charleston County Aviation Authority.

Brett Fay: Attends Tennessee State University in Murfreesboro, Tennessee. He majors in Aerospace Administration. He has a GPA of 3.9 in Aerospace Administration.

Gregory Myers: Attends Westminster College in Salt Lake City, Utah. He is majoring in Bachelor of Science in Aviation Management with a minor in Aviation Operations. He has a pilot's license and almost done completing his instrument rating.

Robert Hanks: Attends California State University in Los Angeles, California. He is majoring in Bachelor of Science in Aviation Technology. He has a GPA of 3.8. He has served as the Lander County, Nevada, county administrator and local County Airport Authority.

NAFI Master Instructors Named

National Association of Flight Instructors (NAFI), reports that several Certified Flight Instructors have got new NAFI Master Flight Instructors while some rewed their Master status. It is recognized by FAA which earned through continuous professional activity and peer review.

Iowa Children’s Museum Opens New Exhibit

The "Take Flight! the science of aviation" exhibit has now opened at the Iowa Children's Museum in Coralville, Iowa. The exhibit features flight simulators built into kid sized planes, an air traffic control tower, hot air balloon, pedal planes, remote control flight simulators, Bernoulli's Wind Table, Cessna 150, Paper Airplane Flight Cage, Pig Parachutes and more. It is supported by NASA under grant award #NNX09AL32G
