Slidell Municipal Airport Gets Upgraded

Slidell Municipal Airport (ASD) in Slidell, Louisiana gets an estimated of $675,000 upgrade in several projects. In October the airport got new resurfacing. Another upgrade is an 800-foot taxilane was added that will allow aircraft acess to St. Tammany Parish Mosquito Control's new hangar and as well as five additional hangars in future. Another upgrade is that it added new vehicle parking lot. The FAA conducted a $50,000 Airfield Obstruction Survey for safe flying around the airport ie. (trees/towers/buildings). This airport is getting alot of updates in 2000.
