Randy Groom, 56, new Piper Aircraft Executive Vice President of sales, marketing and customer support. Groom is instrument-rated commercial pilot and has over 10,000 hours in 40 years of flying and 18 years of aircraft owner. Groom was a flight instructor during college and charter pilot. Randy Groom was the youngest flight instructor for the U.S. Air Force at age 19. Groom comes to Piper from Groom Aviation, LLC, a company he founded that based on general aviation businesses.
