EAA AirVenture 09: Garmin announces G500 & G3X

Garmin introduced new products at a press conference on Monday, July 27, 2009 at EAA AirVenture Oshkosh 2009 in Oshkosh, Wisconsin. Garmin introduced the new G500 and the new G3X.

With Garmin's G500 is designed specifically for FAR Part 23 Class 1/Class 2 aircraft (singles and twins under 6,000 pounds). It has an affordable dual-screen electronic flight display. It also has a 10-inch wide bezel. Dual 6.5-inch LCDs, mounted side-by-side in the bezel, put both Primary Flight Display and Multifunction Display capabilities in your view to help streamline. You also see real-time True Airspeed calculations and selectable Winds Aloft data.
