Cessna Offers Deposit Amplifier on Cessna 182s

Cessna Aircraft Co. has unveiled a deposit amplifier program through the end of the year that adds $30,000 to a deposit on a new Cessna 182 or Cessna Turbo 182. This offer also includes free service bulletin for one of the following: Garmin Synthetic Vision Technology (SVT), Garmin Terrain Awareness and Warning System (TAWS-B), Jeppesen Chartview (subscription not included).

The Cessna 182 and Cessna Turbo 182 features Lycoming IO-540 engine, Garmin G1000 avionics. When fitted with a turbocharge, the top speeds jumps from 150 knots to 176 knots.

Garmin's NEW Product: GAD 43

Garmin's newest product is the GAD 43. GAD 43 is a new adapter that offers enhanced autopilot capabilities for the G500 and G600 flight display systems, allowing an attitude and heading reference system to provide information to selected autopilots in place of an attitude direction indicator or remote vertical gyro. "It thinks like an autopilot." You can purchase the GAD 43 for $1,495 now and until December 31, 2009. The Gad 43 is an option for the G500 and it is available at an initial list price of $2,995.

EAA AirVenture 09: Garmin G500 now Certified

On Thursday, July 30, 2009 Garmin announced that it received FAA certification on the G500 PFD/MFD ($15,995). The type of certification (STC) approval allows the G500 to be installed in nearly 600 single and twin engine aircraft weighting less than 6,000 pounds.
